About Daryl Anne
Daryl Anne has had a profound affection for animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she was blessed to have horses, dogs, cats, birds, mice and bunnies to help care for. Horseback riding was her favorite sport and she had the world's best trainer, Leslie Davis, to positively influence and shape her understanding of the equine intellectually, emotionally, structurally and nutritionally. Leslie had the privilege of being personally trained by the legendary Olympian Dr. Reiner Klimke in Germany for over ten years. He was a cherished friend to her, and she was honored to pass down his rich wisdom to her few, but treasured students. Leslie also taught Daryl Anne the importance of balanced nutrition and taking care of your own health.
Competing in dressage and being a typical barn rat were Daryl Anne's favorite past times ("just one hour" at the barn always turned into four). In adulthood, her interest in nutrition grew when she adopted a senior Border Collie (Cheyenne) who fell gravely ill shortly after adoption and was given just one week to live. As only God would have it, she had the opportunity to learn from a very skilled, nationally recognized, holistic DVM who repaired the "unrepairable" in him and gave him six more years - absolutely thriving! This miraculous story can be found in our For the Canine Collection. Little did she know, this experience would be the first domino to fall in this amazing journey.
Fast forward to today, and Daryl Anne's passion for mastering and optimizing equine nutrition is unmatched. Focusing on the small, intricate details that most people overlook is essential for achieving excellent health. Thoroughness, working through the minutiae, questioning everything, and following God's perfect design is her recipe for success.
Daryl Anne loves to share her knowledge with anyone interested in learning, and she craves the opportunity to help horses feel and function their best. She's available for private consultations, so if you're having trouble determining which products might best meet your horse’s needs, or would like support with his or her overall diet, then a consultation is a great place to start.
Private Consultations - What Can You Expect?
Daryl Anne is meticulous with learning your horse's unique situation, reviewing symptoms and lab results (blood work / hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) reports), and analyzing his or her current diet to learn each ingredient. She will explain the impact certain ingredients have on the horse's immune system, and discuss dietary and lifestyle changes to help your horse's body come back into balance and into a state where the body can heal itself; an internal balancing act known as homeostasis.
Daryl Anne has been very successful in discovering problematic ingredients and nutritional and body system imbalances behind various health conditions and creating custom regimens to help horses overcome issues that previously failed to be managed or corrected, saving many horses from euthanasia, drastically improving quality of life, and helping horses to thrive!
Whether your horse is an FEI level champion, a weekend warrior or your retired backyard companion, his or her nutritional needs, overall well being, and performance are equally important to Daryl Anne.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) Report - Precision Fine Tuning of the Diet
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) testing is a non-invasive, cost-effective, and comprehensive diagnostic tool that measures nutrient and toxic mineral levels within hair cells. This process pinpoints long-term mineral imbalances and deficiencies, heavy metal toxicities, and chronic health trends such as acute and chronic stress, inflammation, metabolic issues such as thyroid, pituitary and adrenal dysfunction, and more.
HTMA reports give incredible detail and insight which allow Daryl Anne to customize a diet meeting your horse's exact individual needs versus going off of symptoms. HTMA tests are more reliable than blood tests for learning mineral stores because the body is constantly working very hard to keep our blood stable. This includes the blood pulling nutrients from the rest of our body (bones, joints, organs, muscles, etc) in order to obtain the nutrients it needs, leaving other areas of our body deficient, yet the blood presents as stable. This can gave an inaccurate depiction of the body's mineral stores and is where nutrient deficiencies / imbalances are missed.
Since diseases are ultimately rooted in nutrient imbalances, HTMA tests serve as an invaluable resource for getting to the root cause and helping the body overcome various challenges.
