What is Peppermint?

Peppermint is a flowering perennial in the Lamiaceae family, native to Asia, Europe and North America. It is a natural hybrid of spearmint and watermint. The dried leaves contain a high content of volatile oil called menthol, which has a cooling and calming effect on the body and mind. The aroma is invigorating, refreshing and delightful!
