"Ruh Roh, Gotta Go!"

Urinary Incontinence Support

Urinary incontinence can be overwhelming to deal with. Constant laundry, an embarrassed dog, a frustrated owner... leaving you both hopeless, tired and heartbroken.

First, it's important to understand there can be several different root causes to urinary incontinence: spay incontinence (hormonal imbalances), weak sphincter muscles (compromised structural integrity), urinary tract infections (bacterial, likely requires antibiotics), spinal misalignment where nerves connected to the bladder are negatively impacted (requiring chiropractic adjustments), a vitamin D deficiency (seek veterinary guidance on Vit D3+K2 dosage, and pair D3+K2 with magnesium), or congenital defects (i.e., ectopic ureters, potentially requiring surgery). This particular blend is intended to target a weak sphincter muscle and strengthen overall structural integrity.

One common root cause of urinary incontinence from a weak sphincter muscle is a magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is necessary to minimize bladder muscle spasms. Just like humans, many dogs aren't getting adequate amounts of magnesium in their diet to support proper muscle function and nervous system function. Over time this deficiency can increase as the body's need for magnesium grows and the diet remains deficient. Providing magnesium glycinate can reduce bladder muscle spasms that lead to leaks.

In Ruh Roh, Gotta Go!, we've included traditional herbs for supporting urinary function such as saw palmetto, corn silk, astragalus, marshmallow root and pepitas (pumpkin seeds). We've also included collagen and glycine amino acid to help repair and strengthen overall structural integrity, while lemon balm, astragalus and glycine soothe internal tissues and nourish the nervous system.

If your dog is experiencing loss of bladder control due to a weak sphincter muscle, we hope that Ruh Roh, Gotta Go! will help your dog (and you) find relief from the troubles that come with urinary incontinence and you can both enjoy life together again!

If you have a female dog with urinary incontinence due to hormonal imbalances from an early spay, this blend may very well help, but we hope to provide a more targeted blend for you in the future. Adaptogenic and hormone-balancing herbs such as chaste tree berry, as well as, foods that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and can help modulate estrogen levels with hormone-balancing healthy fats such as flaxseeds and sesame seeds may play a supportive role in managing spay-induced urinary incontinence. Magnesium glycinate can also help in this case, so it is worth trying first!

"We wanted to send some good news your way... we started slowly introducing Ruh Roh, Gotta Go! to Ellie on Tuesday (4-5 days ago) and since then, she has only had one leak! Additionally, she has started waking us up in the middle of the night to go out, rather than leaking on the bed. We are hopeful it only continues to get better! Thank you so much for the time you've invested in learning all of this and taking care of a piece of our family." -Grace M. & Ellie
